pony-grazingPonies can eat up to 1 percent of their body weight (in dry matter) in just three hours when out on certain pastures.  They can eat up to 5 percent over 24 hours.  This basically means that in theory, a small pony could be eating as many calories as a racing Thoroughbred!  And you thought your pony was just “big boned” LOL!
